A Reverse Painted Glass Display Cabinet Door, or Side, from a 'Courtleigh' Smoking Pipes Display Case, or Cabinet. Circa 1937. Glass measures approximately 18" inches tall by 10" inches wide. The glass is thick and heavy and undamaged. This is a salvage piece. No chips, nicks, or cracks. There are some Minor scuffs that may be only surface stains. Glass was only cleaned with mild detergent and no attempt was made to polish or buff the surface. The reverse painted header is in poor condition with crackling and loss of paint. There is also some glue on the very edges where the glass was attached to a frame. Please review the photographs and judge for yourself. - Courtleigh pipes were produced in 1937 and were the predecessors to the Dr. Grabow line of pipes, that were created by the Linkman Company later. The Courtleigh pipe line is mentioned in the history of the Dr. Grabow pipes, but very little information is readily available. The last photo is a Courtleigh pipe advertising image from 1937. Shipping Costs are a fixed $22.00 for USPS Ground.
