The chip can be protected by applying clear “school glue” such as “Elmers” and allowing it to dry in place, over the chip.
Vintage 1970s Ferrara Pan Glass 5 Cent Atomic Fireball Glass Jar w/ Metal Lid
This heavy glass jar with the original metal lid with red plastic knob and labels on both sides has been in my possession since 1979. While working part time one summer as a teenager, my boss allowed me to take it home when he was done using it in his sub shop. Please Note the wear on the labels. This is not a new item. The labels show that it is an authentic, vintage Ferrara Pan “Atomic Fireball” tilt-style heavy glass canister used in sub shops, candy stores, and pharmacies in the 1970s. the dimensions are approximately 10 x 10x 6 inches. The lid is completely original with a screw on Red plastic knob which has never been removed in 47 years.
