This iconic piece is an original Levi Strauss store display banner from the circa late 1950s 1960s These large-scale, screen-printed cardboard banners were distributed to successful retailers to promote Levi’s Western wear jeans. Excellent condition. Printed in U.S. by Velvetone Co S.F. Velvetone created Levi’s® advertisements by developing an effective printing process that produced brilliant results. They used a multitude of colors, over a dozen in some cases, each printed on separate color screens until the final piece practically glowed. Colors in this poster are very vivid.
